Purpose- Gateway Community Church exists to Glorify God alone.

Our Mission is to truly desire and live to REACH the unbelieving and uncommitted with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, help them GROW up to be mature, devoted disciples of Jesus Christ, and SEND them out to live and proclaim the hope of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our Core Beliefs
The following are the core beliefs of Gateway Community Church based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.

AFFIRMATION OF FAITH

  • The Bible is the Word of God
  • There is one true and living God who exists in 3 persons: God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit
  • God created all things for His glory
  • Men and Women were created in the image of God
  • God alone is the designer and finisher of our salvation
  • The Holy Spirit gives gifts to His children
  • The church consists of all who have trusted Jesus Christ for their eternal salvation
  • Heaven and Hell are real places
  • Jesus Christ will one day return to establish His kingdom
THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST
FOR THE SON OF MAN CAME TO SEEK AND TO SAVE THE LOST - LUKE 19:10

The Gospel is the good news that Jesus took on human flesh and lived a perfect life, was slaughtered in our place and for our sin, and was buried in a tomb for three days.  Moreover, on that third day Jesus rose from the dead defeating Satan, sin, and death.  It’s the announcement that Jesus has fought our battle, secured our victory, and ensured our freedom.  
Due to the work of Jesus on our behalf, God really does look at us as a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, and as a people for His own possession.  This good news is both foundational and motivational.  It energizes and gives shape to everything that we do at Gateway.
